Why supply lines win battles in Iron Tide Command

April 22, 2026 · Mattias Holm

It took me a few campaigns to accept that Iron Tide Command isn't really about the battles — it's about whether your fleets can get to them fueled and repaired.

I now set up dedicated supply routes before I plan any offensive. It feels slow, but overextending into enemy waters without a resupply plan is how good runs collapse.

Weather is the other thing to respect. I lost a whole flank once by pushing through a storm I could have waited out. Now I always check the forecast before committing.

If you're bouncing off the pace, try the slow-time command more aggressively. It's not a crutch — it's how the game expects you to manage larger fights.
