When I first opened Big Bass Studio I made the classic mistake — I treated it like a reaction game and kept snapping my line on the bigger fish. The trick I wish someone had told me is that reeling isn't about speed, it's about reading the tension bar and easing off when the fish pulls hard.

The early studio choices matter more than they look. I'd hold off on cosmetic upgrades and put your first resources into a better lure, since it opens up catches you simply can't land with the starter gear. Once you've got that, the whole loop speeds up.

Something I appreciated is how the game separates the calm fishing trips from the more active studio-building. You go out, you catch, you come back and tinker. That rhythm makes it a perfect commute game — short bursts that still feel like progress.

A small tip: pay attention to which fish sell into which studio unlocks. Early on I was banking everything randomly, but once I started fishing for specific goals my workshop grew a lot faster.
